River Workshop

On Saturday morning we held a children's workshop called "On the banks of the river". The idea was for the children to talk about our river, what it is like, how they would like it to be like, and why. They created a mural in 3D, which shall be on display at the academy until the next one!

In the last photo - the end result - you can see that the river is divided into two - the blue river is clean, you can see people having picnics, sunbathing and even surfing... but they are respecting the environment by placing their litter in a carefully placed bin. The green river reflects how many rivers are today - polluted, surrounded by buildings, cars, buses, factories, full of rubbish......
